Sleep Theory are continuing to prove that no song is off limits, surprise releasing their new covers EP (E)motional (S)upport (C)are (P)ackage alongside a brand new video for their explosive reimagining of Taylor Swift’s Cruel Summer.

Released via Epitaph, the three track collection sees Sleep Theory putting their own spin on some of pop’s biggest hits, blending crushing guitars, soaring melodies and frontman Cullen Moore’s powerhouse vocals into familiar tracks that feel entirely their own.

Leading the release is Cruel Summer, with the accompanying music video arriving just in time for the Northern Hemisphere summer, while Taylor Swift’s original became one of the defining pop songs of the decade, Sleep Theory transform it into a soaring modern rock anthem without losing the emotional punch that made the original so beloved.

The new cover follows the band’s previously released versions of NSYNC’s Bye Bye Bye and Paramore’s My Heart, both of which have become fan favourites, their take on Bye Bye Bye has also become a staple of the band’s live performances, making its inclusion on the EP a natural fit.

Despite only having one full-length album and one previous EP to their name, Sleep Theory has already amassed more than 875 million catalogue stream, earned three No. 1 singles at Rock Radio, claimed Best New Rock Artist honours at the iHeartRadio Music Awards and completed sold out headline tours across both Europe and North America.

Their debut album, Afterglow, further cemented the band’s reputation as one of modern rock’s fastest rising acts, showcasing a sound that effortlessly bridges heavy music with huge melodic hooks.
