Australian hardcore group SPEED have announced their new EP, ALL MY ANGELS, will be released Friday, 23 October via Last Ride Records.

Australia’s most prolific and exciting hardcore act SPEED have announced that their new EP, ALL MY ANGELS, is set to release on October 23 via Last Ride in Australia and Flatspot Records in the US.

The hardcore group have shared that the new three-track EP will be an exploration of grief and sorrow following the passing of a close friend to the band and pillar of Sydney’s hardcore community.

Written during a turbulent time, the band have noted that writing this EP has only strengthened their bonds as brothers.

However, the band are quick to note that this isn’t a eulogy or a homage to their friend. Instead, they’ve shared that the EP is about learning to love unconditionally, without fear or regret.

ALL MY ANGELS is teasing to be SPEED’s most mature-sounding record yet, pushing their songwriting into bold territory. This time, they’ll be introducing experimental synth, samples, and grooves, partnering them with the classic raw SPEED energy.

SPEED broke onto the scene in 2020 with their first EP, 2020 Flex, and continued to garner acclaim with their 2022 EP, Gang Called Speed. Last year, their album, Only One Mode, debuted at #10 on the ARIA Album Chart. The group would also win their first ARIA Award for Best Hard Rock or Heavy Metal Album later that year.

The hardcore group would also find recognition abroad, as SPEED would find themselves performing at Coachella earlier this year. This would make them the first-ever Australian hardcore act to perform at the festival. SPEED will also be supporting Turnstile on their US tour later this month before heading to the UK to support Malevolence in October.
