Spiderbait’s ‘Ivy & The Big Apples’ 30th anniversary tour is picking up serious heat, with the band adding a second Melbourne show after the first Forum date sold out.

The extra show lands Thursday, July 23rd at Forum Melbourne, joining the already announced July 24th date, both shows will feature Magic Dirt, stacking the lineup with a heavy dose of ‘90s Australian alternative history.

More than a nostalgia run

‘Ivy & The Big Apples’ isn’t just being dusted off for the sake of it, the 1996 record still hits with that wired, off kilter energy that made Spiderbait impossible to ignore in the first place, playing it in full gives fans the chance to sit inside that era again, but don’t expect a straight run through. Spiderbait have already made it clear they’ll be pulling from across their catalogue too, meaning you’ll get more than just one album.

A stacked national run

The broader tour pulls together a rotating cast of Aussie heavy hitters, including Custard, The Meanies, Tumbleweed, Magic Dirt, and The Gnomes, who appear across all dates.

It’s a lineup that feels deliberately rooted in the same DNA as Spiderbait’s rise, it’s going to be loud, and a little unpredictable.
