Stand Atlantic have officially entered their next era, announcing their fifth studio album GODBREATH, due for release on October 23rd via Virgin Music Group, alongside the arrival of blistering new single “LUCID.”
Sydney four piece Stand Atlantic continue to evolve their sound with a record they describe as their most authentic work yet, blending the band’s signature alternative edge with bold new ideas that push beyond their comfort zone.
Leading the announcement is “LUCID,” a cathartic anthem born during the final stages of the album’s writing process after the band shed expectations and embraced complete creative freedom.
Exploring themes of self sabotage, emotional conflict and radical self acceptance, the track pairs pounding drums with soaring melodies and raw vocal performances, while its VHS inspired music video captures the band’s explosive live energy inside Sydney’s iconic Lord Gladstone Hotel.

Stand Atlantic ‘Velcro’
Lucid follows earlier single “Velcro,” which introduced a more melodic side of Stand Atlantic through what the band described as their first true love song, the two singles showcase the broad emotional and sonic palette fans can expect from the upcoming record.
Embracing experimentation
Across the album, frontwoman Bonnie Fraser’s stream of consciousness lyricism is paired with live tracked instrumentation, creating what promises to be one of the band’s most organic and fearless releases to date.
Drawing influence from turn of the century pop rock, modern pop punk and alternative music, GODBREATH sees Stand Atlantic embracing experimentation without losing the identity that’s made them one of Australia’s biggest modern rock exports.
Since forming in Sydney in 2012, Stand Atlantic have amassed more than 500 million streams, released four acclaimed studio albums and built a devoted international following through relentless touring and genre-defying songwriting. Their breakout hit “Deathwish” featuring nothing,nowhere. has surpassed 57 million streams, while appearances on triple j’s Like A Version and stages around the world have cemented their reputation as one of Australia’s most successful alternative bands.
The album announcement arrives during another packed touring schedule, with performances at Warped Tour 2026, NEXUS Festival in Germany and arena dates supporting Simple Plan across the UK still to come.
With “LUCID” setting the tone, GODBREATH looks set to be Stand Atlantic’s boldest and most self-assured chapter yet.
