Australian heavy music favourites Sunk Loto are officially back on the road this week, kicking off their first run of live shows since 2023 while also announcing a significant new chapter behind the scenes.
Gold Coast outfit Sunk Loto has revealed it has signed with Welkin Entertainment, a move that comes as the band continues to build momentum following its long awaited return to the Australian heavy music scene.
After spending 15 years away, Sunk Loto reunited in 2022, proving there was still plenty of appetite for the band’s blend of groove laden alternative metal.
Two sold out national tours followed, introducing a new generation of fans while reminding longtime supporters why the band became one of Australia’s defining heavy acts of the early 2000s.
Their comeback wasn’t built solely on nostalgia either. The release of “The Gallows Wait” and “Dead Shadows” marked the band’s first new music in two decades, delivering the same intensity and aggression that helped establish their reputation alongside international heavyweights like Sevendust, Korn and Deftones.

Ahead of the tour, the band promised fans a setlist spanning every era of their career.
“We’re going to be playing a spread of old and new, songs we haven’t played live in years, our new stuff and more. We can’t wait, see you there!”

Welkin Entertainment
The announcement of a management partnership with Welkin Entertainment signals another major step forward. Founded in 2007 by Ne Obliviscaris co-founder Tim Charles, the Melbourne based company has built a respected reputation through artist management, festival promotion, booking and independent artist development.
Welkin’s current roster includes Ne Obliviscaris, Ironstone and Sweden’s An Abstract Illusion, with Sunk Loto becoming the latest addition.
Speaking about the signing, Tim Charles said:
“I’m incredibly excited to be able to welcome Sunk Loto to the Welkin Entertainment management roster. One of Australia’s most distinctive and influential heavy music bands, it’s a genuine privilege to now be working alongside them as they begin this exciting new chapter.
Their return in recent years has generated incredible momentum, with sold out shows continuing to stack up across Australia, and with each new song that is released, Sunk Loto show that their best era is just on the horizon.”
With new music already making an impact, sold-out shows continuing to pile up and fresh management steering the band’s next phase, Sunk Loto’s resurgence shows no signs of slowing down.
