After seven years between albums, Australian alternative favourites The Beautiful Monument are stepping back into the spotlight with a deeply personal new single and a full length record finally on the horizon.
Emo rockers The Beautiful Monument have unveiled “CraveAnythingThatStays” (CATS), the latest taste of upcoming album Euphoric Thriller, arriving Friday, August 7th via Greyscale Records.
Built as both a tribute and a thank you, the track shifts focus away from heartbreak and inward reflection to celebrate the quieter companions that often carry people through life’s hardest moments.
“An homage to the quietest of family members that help us get through our struggles and wins; the clueless ones that have more of an impact on us as human beings than they will ever realise,” shares vocalist Lizi McIntosh.
“We would be nothing without them, people don’t deserve them, yet we are blessed with their very existence. And who doesn’t love Cats…?”

Evolving sold
Produced by Chris Lalic (Windwaker, Headwreck, RinRin), the track leans further into The Beautiful Monument’s evolving sound, blending alt-pop textures, driving percussion and polished production without losing the emotional weight and grit that has defined the band’s identity.
The single joins previously released tracks “Euphoric Thriller”, “Dancing With The Buried” and “Cry About It” as part of the upcoming record.
According to McIntosh, Euphoric Thriller explores themes of grief, identity and trying to find moments of joy while navigating an increasingly exhausting world:
“From dealing with the grief of not only physical loss, but the emotional battle that is existing in this world as a minority and navigating our way through the uphill battle of hate and bigotry from the society that surrounds us… but make it a party.”
“If we don’t laugh we cry – so why not have a good time while internally wallowing in the fiery pits of hell that is the current state of the world.”

The Beautiful Monument recently wrapped an Australian run supporting Hellions and have previously shared stages with Evanescence, Escape The Fate, Sleeping With Sirens, Short Stack and RedHook, alongside appearances at Good Things Festival, Download Festival and UNIFY Gathering.
