Looks Like The Defenders Are Coming Back for Daredevil: Born Again Season 3

The Defenders reunite as Finn Jones, Mike Colter, and Krysten Ritter are all on set for Daredevil: Born Again in New York.

Daredevil season 3 is currently shooting in New York City, which is good news for fans of blind justice and Catholic guilt. And thanks to a keen-eyed photographer and the good graces of Getty Images, it seems that we’re getting a team up, with Krysten Ritter, Finn Jones, and Mike Colter all snapped on set – Colter’s the one who looks like a monk.

What that means for Daredevil fans is that The Defenders are getting back together. Those of you with long memories or functional search engines will recall that, back at the dawn of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, there was a brief moment when Marvel’s street level heroes found a home on Netflix, with Daredevil (starring Charlie Cox), Jessica Jones (Krysten Ritter), Luke Cage (Mike Colter), and Iron Fist (Finn Jones) all getting their own series Starting in 2015, and all of them teaming up for a single, brief season of Marvel’s The Defenders in 2017.

Since then, all those streaming series have now landed on Disney+ and Daredevil : Born Again is doing well for itself on the same streamer, but the future of all those characters has been in limbo. But, of course, Krysten Ritter shows up as Jessica Jones in season 2, currently streaming, which at least hinted at the possibility of more characters returning (Jon Bernthal’s the Punisher has already carved out a hefty slice of MCU real estate).

So that’s good news! No word if Bernthal’s back yet – ol’ Frank may be too busy hanging out with Spider-Man. But there are unconfirmed reports that Jessica Henwick has been spotted on set too, so it seems Colleen Wing, last seen in Luke Cage back in 2018, is also making a comeback.
