The Dillinger Escape Plan announce 2025 Australian tour following their explosive 2024 return

The Dillinger Escape Plan are back—but if their recent run of reunion shows is anything to go by, this isn’t just a nostalgic victory lap.

After officially announcing their return in 2023 with Dimitri Minakakis reclaiming vocal duties, The Dillinger Escape Plan played their first show back in June 2024 at California’s No Values festival. This marked the beginning of a run of select U.S. reunion shows celebrating the 25th anniversary of their debut album Calculating Infinity Calculating Infinity, the mathcore pioneers have confirmed a Australian tour covering major capital cities in August 2025.

The band’s re-emergence has been nothing short of seismic. Their first show in seven years took place in June 2024 at California’s No Values festival, featuring original vocalist Dimitri Minakakis at the helm for the first time since 2001. That performance set the tone for a blistering return, with follow-up gigs—including a sold-out night at Chicago’s Salt Shed—cementing their reputation as one of the most ferocious live acts to ever exist. With a Revolver Magazine poll recently crowning them the Greatest Live Band of All Time, it seems the world is finally catching up to what fans have known all along: nobody does it like Dillinger.

A SECOND CHANCE AT SURVIVAL

For those lucky enough to have experienced Dillinger’s pre-2017 carnage, this tour is a no-brainer. For those who missed out, consider this a second chance at survival. Expect a setlist stacked with Calculating Infinity cuts alongside material from their late-90s EPs and, if their recent U.S. gigs are any indication, a few surprises—including a riotous Aphex Twin cover and guest appearances from punk and metal royalty.

The current lineup includes founding guitarist Ben Weinman, bassist Liam Wilson, guitarist James Love, drummer Billy Rymer, and Minakakis back on vocals. The absence of Greg Puciato, who fronted the band from 2002 to their 2017 disbandment, has sparked discussion, but Puciato himself has shrugged off any controversy, stating, “I wasn’t on that record. It doesn’t bother me at all.”
