Mongolian Hunnu rock trailblazers The Hu have officially lifted the curtain on their next chapter, announcing their third studio album HUN, arriving July 24th via Better Noise Music.
Marking the beginning of this bold new era, the globally celebrated outfit has dropped the album’s lead single, “Lost Soul”, featuring Jonny Hawkins of Nothing More, the collaboration fuses THE HU’s unmistakable throat singing and traditional instrumentation with Hawkins’ soaring melodic delivery, resulting in one of the band’s most accessible and expansive releases to date.

Speaking on the release, Galaa shared:
“We have been unpacking our surprises one by one. Hunnu Rock transcends through culture and in that respect, we have made ‘Lost Soul’ with Jonny Hawkins. To be not lost on your life journey, not losing your values, and go through life and having a courage to face the life obstacles are messages we are sending our fans through this song ‘Lost Soul’ and in our next album, HUN.”
Hawkins added: “I am so excited to team up with a band as committed to their craft as The Hu. It’s unlike anything I’ve done before.”
Built across 11 tracks, HUN sees the Mongolian quartet further evolve their globally recognised “Hunnu Rock” sound, blending ancient cultural storytelling with cinematic modern heaviness.
The band also reflected on the process behind the album, saying:
“We took our time to do this right, and we’re so glad that we’re almost ready to release what we have worked on these past few years. Now, we are also focusing on the performances and working out a brand-new setlist.”
