The enigmatic rock outfit President have confirmed their first United States headline dates, following months of speculation and a steady build-up of live appearances.
The band, fronted by an unidentified masked vocalist, made their live debut at Download Festival earlier this year before staging a short but impactful run of shows in the United Kingdom. Their inaugural London headline date at The Garage drew significant attention, with fans describing the performance as both ‘intense’ and ‘immersive’.
President have also since locked in a UK and Ireland tour for 2026, alongside European dates that include support slots for Architects, and an Australian run with the same band later this year.
Now, the group have set their sights on America. Describing the performances as their “inaugural United States rallies,” President will appear at New York’s Gramercy Theatre on December 3 and Los Angeles’ Roxy Theatre on December 8. Tickets go on general sale this Friday, with a fan pre-sale opening tomorrow for mailing list subscribers.
The announcement comes ahead of the release of their debut EP King Of Terrors, due on September 26. The project will feature previously released singles In The Name Of The Father, Fearless, and Rage. At their London show, the band performed six songs in total, including a cover of Deftones’ Change (In The House Of Flies), further cementing their reputation for intense, heavy-leaning live sets.
While the identities of President’s members remain unconfirmed, speculation has been persistent since their inception. Many believe the frontman is Charlie Simpson of Busted and Fightstar, with fans citing vocal similarities and live mannerisms. Simpson has acknowledged working on new music in recent interviews but has not publicly connected himself to the project.
For now though, the mystery remains intact, but with their US shows locked in and their debut EP on the way, President are moving quickly from curiosity to a fixture on the heavy rock touring circuit.
