The Pretty Reckless have officially entered a new chapter with the release of their fifth studio album, Dear God, out now via Fearless Records.
After years of dominating modern rock radio and building a reputation as one of the genre’s most dependable heavy hitters, The Pretty Reckless’s latest release strips things back emotionally while expanding outward sonically.
Across 14 tracks, Dear God sees frontwoman Taylor Momsen and company trade armour for honesty, delivering what may be their most introspective record to date.
Written with diaristic detail and an unfiltered approach to self-reflection, Dear God explores themes of loss, faith, love, resilience and redemption without abandoning the hard rock backbone that made the band a global force.

Significant timing
Produced by Taylor Momsen, Ben Phillips and Jonathan Wyman, the album blends acoustic textures, heavier moments and emotionally charged songwriting into a collection that feels intentionally personal rather than performative.
The release arrives at a significant moment for the band, recent single When I Wake Up (below) became The Pretty Reckless’ ninth No.1 on Billboard’s Mainstream Rock Airplay chart, another milestone in a career already packed with chart records and sold out stages.
Speaking about the album, frontwoman Taylor Momsen said:
“DEAR GOD is the most honest record we’ve ever made. Every song came from a real place, whether I wanted to admit it or not. There was no hiding behind characters or concepts this time. It’s all there…the doubt, the anger, the hope, the questions. We made the record we needed to make, and I’m incredibly proud of it.”
Fans won’t have to wait long to hear the material live either, with The Pretty Reckless preparing to launch the Dear God Tour in Raleigh, North Carolina on July 10th before continuing across North America and overseas through to Glasgow in December. Keep those fingers crossed for an Australian run.
The run follows the band’s massive stint supporting AC/DC on the PWR UP Tour, further reinforcing their reputation as one of rock’s most compelling live acts.
With Dear God, The Pretty Reckless aren’t reinventing themselves, they’re revealing more of themselves.
