A Mid Summer Night’s Symphony will premiere in Los Angeles on 28 October, followed by a Q&A with the band. Australian viewing plans remain unconfirmed.
The Used’s orchestral Sydney Opera House show is heading to the big screen, with concert film A Mid Summer Night’s Symphony set for its world premiere this month.
The film documents the band’s 29 March 2026 performance, which saw the band reinterpret songs from their catalogue alongside a full orchestra and choir. Its first screening will take place at Los Angeles’ Landmark Nuart Theatre on Wednesday, 28 October, followed by a question-and-answer session with the band.
Landmark’s official listing confirms the premiere and post-film Q&A, credits Ryan Chamley as director and lists a running time of 88 minutes. Tickets are available through the cinema’s website.
As per IMPRINT‘s announcement, the film is described as capturing orchestral reinterpretations of the band’s biggest songs. It takes a performance staged in Australia to an overseas cinema audience, giving the one-off show a life beyond the night itself.
BLUNT covered the original Opera House announcement in November 2025, when The Used revealed plans for a black tie event at the Sydney landmark.
Promoter Destroy All Lines billed it as the band’s first performance at the venue. Speaking ahead of the concert, frontman Bert McCracken said: “This is a once in a lifetime opportunity for The Used and we couldn’t be more excited.”
The performance also featured Australia’s The Metropolitan Orchestra, which lists the concert among its 2026 projects.
For Australian fans who attended the Opera House show — or missed out — the next question is where they can watch it. Australian cinema screenings, streaming availability and a physical release remain unconfirmed.
BLUNT has contacted the band’s publicity team for details of any Australian release plans.
