Vader’s long awaited Australian tour has been pushed back, with the Polish death metal veterans confirming their upcoming run will now take place in November 2026 due to escalating conflict in the Middle East.
The band were set to return to Australia next month, but concerns around flight disruptions and safety forced a last minute rethink, with tensions rising and international travel becoming increasingly unpredictable, the decision feels less like caution and more like necessity (via Metal Sucks).
Safety concerns force delay
In a statement shared with fans, Vader explained the move:
“Dear fans of Australia, Vader have had to make the difficult decision to reschedule our Australian Tour dates due to the conflict in the Middle East. We cannot risk the flights being cancelled and everyone losing out. We have worked out with our Australian promoter Hardline Media, on some new dates in late November. Please hold onto your tickets; your current ticket/s transfer directly to the rescheduled dates. We will see you in November, we cannot wait to return.”
It’s a frustrating hit for fans who’ve been waiting to see the band back on local soil, but the alternative could have been far messier if cancellations hit mid tour.
Refunds and support for fans
Promoter Hardline Media backed the decision and moved quickly to reassure ticket holders, confirming refunds and swaps will be available for anyone unable to make the new dates.
“Hi fans of Vader, the current situation is not safe and is getting worse by the day it seems. The band and management’s safety is paramount; we back their decision and have sorted new dates in late November. Please note, if you cannot make these dates, simply contact Oztix or Hardline, and we will sort a refund, or a swap to a different tour of your choice. If you have spent money on flights and accommodation, let us know, we can help out maybe with letters to the hotels and flight carriers. We don’t want anyone losing out here.”
Supporting local venues
There’s also a knock on effect for venues left with sudden gaps in their calendars, Hardline is encouraging fans to support replacement shows featuring local acts, particularly at Crowbar Brisbane, Crowbar Sydney and The Croxton in Melbourne.
“When these are sorted, please jump on board to support the venues because without them, none of this would happen.”
It’s a reminder of how quickly things unravel behind the scenes when tours fall apart, and how much smaller venues rely on nights like these to stay afloat.
