Punk-trio VIAL have announced their new album Hellhound will be dropping March 20 this year, released via the band’s Trout Hole Records label.

Minneapolis punk group VIAL have announced their second full-length album, Hellhound, is due to release March 20 via the band’s Trout Hole Records label.

The album is the follow-up to 2024s breakout EP BURNOUT, and will be the first full-length album from the group since 2021s LOUDMOUTH. Ahead of the release, the band have shared the new track ‘Never Been Better’ and confirmed previous tracks released last year, ‘Creep Smoothie’ and ‘Idle Hands’, will also feature on the album.

In their statement announcing their new album, VIAL also confirmed a North American tour starting March, April and May. VIAL would also use their announcement to draw attention to the recent shooting in Minnieapolis, where an ICE agent shot and killed Renee Nicole Good.

“Today was supposed to be the day we were supposed to tell you about our new record HELLHOUND, but our minds are now 100% on our neighbor who was shot and killed by federal immigration officers in Minneapolis yesterday,” wrote the band.

“This was NOT self-defense. This was MURDER. FUCK ICE!

Please donate to the Go Fund Me if you have the means, and watch out for your immigrant neighbors. Love you all.”

Friends of the victim would launch a Go Fund Me yesterday (January 8th) to help support Good’s wife and son with living costs. In what appears to be Good’s Instagram would say she was a poet, writer and guitar player.
