WWE 2K26 is tightening the screws just as the Road to WrestleMania 42 ramps up, with Patch 1.07 now live across all platforms, bringing gameplay tweaks, new moves, and a rework of the game’s Ringside Pass system.
This isn’t just a routine update either, it’s clearly timed to keep players locked in as the biggest event on the WWE calendar looms, leaning hard into nostalgia while smoothing out some of the game’s rougher edges.
Ringside Pass overhaul and free progression boost
The headline move is a shift in how Ringside Pass progression works, players are being handed a leg up, with enough RXP to unlock 20 tiers in Season 1, applied within 24 hours of logging in.
Those who’ve already been grinding before April 15th, will also score a similar boost when Season 2 launches, instantly unlocking another 20 tiers (per press release).
From Season 2 onwards, things get a bit less punishing, the required grind per tier drops from 800 RXP to 625, and won’t scale up in future seasons, premium players also get immediate access to DLC characters at Tier 1, cutting out the usual slog.
It’s a clear pivot, less grind and more instant reward, whether that sticks long term is another question.
Gameplay tweaks and new moves added
Patch 1.07 also hits gameplay where it counts, especially with stamina.
Matches should feel less like a sprint to exhaustion, with stamina now draining more gradually, reversals are cheaper in multi opponent situations, and the game is less trigger happy with disqualifications when referees get caught in the crossfire.
New moves have also been dropped into the mix, including Chelsea Green’s Cradle Flatliner and Blake Monroe’s Glamour Shot finisher, adding some fresh flair to the roster.
Extra content and mode updates
Elsewhere, The Island mode has picked up new features, including direct Prestige access from the Training menu, plus a limited-time 2x VC PvP event running from March 30th to April 15th.
Updates have also been rolled out across Creation Suite, Universe, MyFACTION, and MyRISE, though the full breakdown sits buried in the patch notes.
WWE 2K26 is leaning into WrestleMania season hard, trying to keep momentum alive with a mix of nostalgia bait and quality of life fixes.
Whether it’s enough to hold players past the event hype will come down to how these changes actually feel in the ring, further details here.
