Industrial punk agitators Ho99o9 are heading back to Australia and in just a couple of short weeks time. Their new album, ‘Tomorrow We Escape’, lands September 9, and Aussie fans won’t have to wait long to hear it live, theOGM and Yeti Bones are supporting The Dillinger Escape Plan next month.
We caught up with the duo ahead of their return, marking their second Australian run in just two years. With their signature genre defying sound, we asked the question: do Ho99o9 even consider themselves part of any scene? Their answer, unsurprisingly, pushed against easy categorisation.

Ho99o9 Tomorrow We Escape Album
The new record marks a shift for Ho99o9. While 2022’s ‘Skin’ felt raw and grimy, ‘Tomorrow We Escape’ leans into a sharper, more deliberate sound. “We approached this album differently from day one,” says Yeti Bones, explaining that after the visceral grit of their last record, they wanted to rethink their whole process.
Helping shape the sound of Ho99o9 is a surprising one, none other than Travis Barker, who produced Bite My Face featuring Corey Taylor. Working with Barker, Ho99o9 say, brought a fresh focus and for those wondering about the Corey Taylor feature on ‘Skin’? The band shared how that link up came about, ‘that’s the homie right there’!
