Neck Deep’s new single ‘You Should See Me Now’ is a fierce celebration of self-belief and perseverance, produced by Will Yip.
Neck Deep are back at it, and they’re not holding anything back.
The Welsh pop-punk mainstays have just dropped a powerful new single titled ‘You Should See Me Now’ via Hopeless Records, marking another sharp-edged chapter in a career built on resilience, honesty and pure punk energy.
The track bursts with pride and swagger, produced by none other than Will Yip (Turnstile, Movements, Tigers Jaw). It channels everything fans love about Neck Deep – soaring hooks, raw defiance, and an undercurrent of hope just punchy enough to keep your fists in the air.
Neck Deep frontman Ben Barlow says the song is all about pushing through the noise and standing tall when the odds are stacked against you. “’You Should See Me Now’ is a song about hard work, self-belief, the struggle through adversity and proving people wrong,” he explains. “As a band we’ve always been pretty humble and shied away from too much self-aggrandisement, but this felt like a good way of showing a little pride, and hopefully people can relate to that too.”

The track didn’t make the final cut for an album and has apparently been “in the bank for a long time,” but that’s worked out for the better. With something “cool” to be announced soon, according to Barlow, this track is setting the tone for what could be another big moment in the Neck Deep timeline.
Fresh off their biggest ever Australian tour and with Slam Dunk Festival appearances locked in this weekend, the band are riding serious momentum. Their recent self-titled album proved they’re still levelling up more than a decade into their journey, with praise from the likes of Rolling Stone and NPR backing that up.
For Neck Deep, this latest release feels less like a comeback and more like a statement: they’re here, they’re proud, and they’re not done yet.
