Brooklyn hardcore royalty Biohazard have officially ended their silence, crashing back onto the scene with ‘Forsaken’.
Biohazard has dropped their first new song in over 13 years. Captured live at Melkweg in Amsterdam in March, the band’s latest video is a brutal reminder of the chaos they’ve been missing from our lives.
In case you’re wondering, no, this isn’t some nostalgia cash in. The reunited classic line up of Evan Seinfeld, Billy Graziadei, Bobby Hambel and Danny Schuler sound like they never left. ‘Forsaken’ hits with the kind of groove, grit and fury that made Biohazard a household name for hardcore fans, blending streetwise attitude with pummelling breakdowns and barked vocals.
The new single also marks the first taste of new Biohazard material since 2012’s Reborn in Defiance and it’s set the tone for a full album dropping later this year via Frontiers Music’s BLKIIBLK imprint. If ‘Forsaken’ is anything to go by, Biohazard aren’t interested in playing it safe. They’re here to reclaim their place at the top of the hardcore heap.
The video itself is stripped down and savage with no fancy production, no smoke and mirrors, just raw pit energy and a band sounding hungrier than ever. Aussie fans will no doubt be watching closely, hoping this resurgence means a return to our shores soon!
