Guitarist Daiki Koide has been booted from Crossfaith and Knosis following allegations of misconduct, brought to light by none other than Ronnie Radke.
Crossfaith and Knosis have both publicly confirmed they’ll be parting ways with Daiki Koide over serious allegations that the guitarist engaged in inappropriate conversation with an underage fan. The move comes after Falling in Reverse frontman Ronnie Radke accused one of the (then unnamed) members of Crossfaith of attempting to meet a 14-year-old fan during his band’s European tour.
Radke initially shared details of the allegations with his followers last week, stating: “Crossfaith was on my European Tour with me and then we found out that one of the members tried to meet up with a 14-year-old girl. He’s 37 years old. Once we found out, we tried to quietly kick them off and make sure they weren’t on any other festivals.”
On Thursday (26 June), Crossfaith responded publicly with a statement, confirming the cancellation of their upcoming festival appearances. “As for the future of Crossfaith, we are currently in discussions internally. This is a serious matter that requires careful thought, and we want to make sure any decisions are made with the utmost responsibility and clarity,” the statement continued.
Since then, Crossfaith has publicly named the member in question – Daiki Koide – and confirmed he’s been dismissed from the band. They shared a statement on social media confirming the move yesterday:
“It is with great regret that we must inform you on the following matter. It was recently confirmed that our guitarist, Daiki, engaged in inappropriate communication with an underage fan. Recognising the gravity of the misconduct, we have decided to dismiss him from the band effective immediately.”
Knosis has also followed suit, sharing a much simpler announcement: ““To our fans, Daiki will no longer perform as a guitarist of Knosis.”
At the time of writing, Koide himself has yet to respond to the allegations or being removed from both bands.
