The Living Tombstone Sell Out Australian Tour And Bring Pixel Perfect Chaos

Share

Judging by The Living Tombstone‘s sheer volume of bodies crammed into venues on the weekend, they’re here for a damn good reason.

Selling out all three Australian dates, Brisbane’s The Triffid, Sydney’s Manning Bar and Melbourne’s Max Watt’s, the Israeli American electronic rock project delivered a chaotic, neon soaked experience that bridged gaming culture, internet lore and high octane live energy.

Best known for viral hits like their Five Nights at Freddy’s anthem and deep cuts about anxiety, tech obsession and online identity, The Living Tombstone have built a cult following. They find themselves situated somewhere between YouTube music, alt-pop punk and electro-industrial chaos. Make sense? If you’re unfamiliar, think Pendulum meets Twenty One Pilots, filtered through the meme fuelled brain of someone raised on Newgrounds and early YouTube.

With frontman Yoav Landau commanding the stage and fans screaming lyrics back at him word for word, each night felt like a crossover episode between the internet and the pit. Tracks like ‘My Ordinary Life’ and ‘No Mercy’ hit especially hard live, backed by glitchy visuals and a crowd that knew every beat drop.

This was a celebration of niche culture made loud and judging by the sold out signs slapped across the tour poster, Australia was ready.

What’s Up Next?

Next up, The Living Tombstone are taking their glitch fuelled chaos global, the tour continues through Europe, the UK and North America. With stops in London, Paris, Toronto, New York, and Los Angeles just to name a few. If you missed them in Australia, fingers crossed they’ll be back down under in the not too distant future.
