Fit For An Autopsy Announce 2026 Australian Tour Dates

Share

Fit For An Autopsy have announced Australian tour dates in January, and they’ll be joined by Bodysnatcher, Volatile Ways and Pain Body.

Fit For An Autopsy will return to Australia in January, bringing one of the heaviest touring packages fans are likely to see next year. The New Jersey band will be joined by Florida’s Bodysnatcher, Newcastle’s Volatile Ways, and Human Warfare’s newest signing Pain Body for a five-date run across the country.

The tour marks Fit For An Autopsy’s first Australian visit since releasing their seventh album The Nothing That Is in 2024, a record that reinforced the group’s reputation for marrying relentless heaviness with sharp social commentary. Known for their uncompromising live presence, the band will arrive with more than 15 years of all-out touring experience behind them.

The tour announcement comes just weeks after supergroup Better Lovers (featuring Fit For An Autopsy’s Will Putney) announced an Aussie tour of their own in January – so it’s not a major surprise we’ll now be seeing the full band coming Down Under to join him. Interestingly, there does appear to be some date clashes – it’s not quite clear how those are going to shake out in practice.

Speaking on Fit For An Autopsy’s latest standalone single ‘It Comes For You’, which also released today, guitarist and producer Will Putney explained the track’s urgency. “An aggressive offering from our camp felt like an appropriate response to the current climate of class disparity and political overreach. Sometimes I feel like we’re beating a dead horse over here but it’s important to consistently remind the listener to remain intolerant of such authoritarian rule. Believe it or not, but one day, it comes for you.”

Joining Fit For An Autopsy on the road will be Bodysnatcher, who continue to push their crushing sound following the release of their 2024 EP Vile Conduct. Rising Australian act Volatile Ways bring their brand of beatdown deathcore, while Pain Body make their Australian touring debut after introducing themselves earlier this year with ‘Hymns of Melancholy’.
