Former Brent Hinds Bandmate Confirms The Late Artist Has An Album’s Worth Of Unreleased Material

One of Brent Hinds’ former bandmates has confirmed there’s an entire album’s worth of recorded material yet to be released. Fiend Without A Face Drummer Duane Trucks has shared he’s heard “A whole album of tunes” that are waiting to be released to the public.

Since former Mastodon founding member and guitarist Brent Hinds passed away earlier this year, fans have been speculating on whether we’d ever get to hear any unreleased material from the Grammy-winning artist.

Hinds would depart Mastodon in March earlier this year, and would share that he had been working on new music up until his tragic passing in August.

Well, as it turns out, there is a trove of unreleased Hinds material yet to be heard. According to an interview with Metal Hammer, former Hinds collaborator Duane Trucks, who played drums in Hinds’ psychobilly group Fiend With A Face, revealed that he had heard “a full album of tunes” from the late Crack The Skye artist.

“Brent’s got an entire album that hasn’t seen the light of day. He sent me the whole album of tunes, and it’s cool as shit”

Trucks would also share how losing Hinds was a creative blow to many in the Atlanta area, telling the publication, “You rarely meet someone with so many facets who does things in such an honest, vulnerable way. He really fucking meant what he was playing. It was not a put-on. He wasn’t just doing this for a cheque.”

It’s unconfirmed when or if we’ll ever hear the unreleased material at this point. Following Hinds’ passing, Jackass star Bam Margera would reveal in a tribute to his long-time friend that he had recorded vocals with Hinds for his new band Amore Ad Lunam.

Hinds would pass away on August 20 after his Harley-Davidson collided with an SUV late at night. Police would eventually discover that Hinds was speeding and was at fault for the accident.
