HEALTH have shared their latest single, YOU DIED, taken from their upcoming album CONFLICT DLC, releasing December 11.
Industrial cum metal group, HEALTH, have shared their fourth single from the upcoming album CONFLICT DLC.
Taking its name from the famous FROMSOFT video game series, Dark Souls, ‘YOU DIED’ sees the band embrace their previously mentioned Sleep Token influence, sharing a slower, trip hop inspired track featuring glistening synths and dark romantic pining lyrics.
You can listen to the new track below:
‘YOU DIED’ sees the band take a stylistic turn from their previously released singles. In October, the band would share the track ‘THOUGHT LEADER‘, one of their darkest and most bleak tracks to date. Focusing on the digital isolation, cynicism, and emotional numbness in the modern age, ‘THOUGHT LEADER’ continues the band’s efforts to be the soundtrack for alienation and self-doubt in an ever-growing digital world.
They would also share another collaboration with Lamb of God’s Willie Adler with the track ‘VIBE COP‘ earlier in October. The song would encapsulate the band’s mission in taking the sounds from RAT WARS and pushing them further, delivering the bands heaviest track yet.
Speaking to NME, vocalist Jake Duzsik revealed that CONFLICT DLC is a direct continuation of the themes and sounds of RAT WARS, while also taking it to the next level.
“If RAT WARS feels like a concept record in this expansive landscape, then Conflict DLC is going to distinguish itself by being more uptempo, more bangers, more fun and shit I know will be fun to play live.”
‘YOU DIED’ is out now and available to stream, while CONFLICT DLC lands December 11.
