Dropkick Murphys’ Ken Casey Records Ukrainian Version Of ‘Who’ll Stand With Us?’ With O’Hamsters

Dropkick Murphys frontman Ken Casey has joined forces with Ukrainian punk band O’Hamsters to record a powerful Ukrainian language version of the band’s protest anthem ‘Who’ll Stand With Us?’, filmed earlier this year during Casey’s humanitarian aid trip to Ukraine.

The collaboration was captured on video, featuring footage of the studio session alongside scenes of Ukrainian soldiers on the front lines, a visual tribute to resilience and solidarity. The clip premiered via the MeidasTouch Network and is streaming now.

In a statement, Dropkick Murphys said:

‘Hearing the words of this song in the language of a nation at war brings a deeper meaning to the question “Who’ll Stand With Us?” As we honour America’s soldiers, we also honour soldiers on the front line in another country, Ukraine, as they keep fighting and keep LIVING. And a special shout out to the many American Veterans who are volunteering on the front lines WITH the Ukrainian forces. We thank everybody Who Stands With Us!’

‘Who’ll Stand With Us? – The original version

The original version of ‘Who’ll Stand With Us?’ (below) appears on the band’s current album ‘For The People’, but this new version carries a raw emotional weight, a message of unity that transcends borders and politics.

Casey has been deeply involved in Ukrainian aid efforts over the past few years. In May, he personally travelled to Ukraine to support local communities and see conditions first hand, becoming one of the few American musicians of non Ukrainian descent to record in the country since the war began.

This isn’t Casey’s first collaboration with O’Hamsters, the two acts previously joined forces in 2022 for a Ukrainian language take on ‘We Shall Overcome’, with Casey even learning bits of Ukrainian for the session.

Dropkick Murphys are currently wrapping up their European tour, before kicking off their ‘For The People… In The Pit’ St. Patrick’s Day Tour across the U.S. from 9 February 2026, joined by The Aggrolites and Haywire, before wrapping with their traditional Boston hometown shows mid March.
