AC/DC Sydney Tour: Set Times, Tickets, Setlist & More

Share

AC/DC is in Sydney for a run of two shows at Accor Stadium. Here’s everything we know from set times, tickets, and more.

AC/DC officially kicked off their POWER UP Australian tour last Wednesday in Melbourne as part of their mega, month-long run of nine shows across the country. With between 3.5 and 4 million tickets sold on their current world tour so far, it’s bound to be absolutely massive as they continue blazing across the country – and Sydney is up next.

We’ve rounded up everything you should know before attending the Sydney shows, including the set times, setlist, how to get to the MCG in amongst the chaos, and more – so let’s get into it.

AC/DC will play at the Accor Stadium on Friday, 21 November and Tuesday, 25 November. They’ll be supported by Amyl and the Sniffers and Large Mirage.

AC/DC Sydney set times

According to the official Accor Stadium site, the AC/DC set times are TBC, so we’ll update this as more info becomes available. What we do know right now is that public gates will open at 5pm.

However, here’s the set times from Melbourne for a rough estimate:

  • The Casanovas: 6:10pm
  • Amyl & The Sniffers: 7:00pm
  • AC/DC: 8:30pm

It’s not clear exactly how long the set will run for, but expect anywhere from 1.5-2 hours worth of Acca Dacca when it’s all said and done.

It looks like both AC/DC Sydney shows are on their final tickets, but you can check out what’s left here, or you can check out Tixel for additional resale tickets here.

Transport NSW is strongly recommending those attending AC/DC’s Sydney shows leave the car at home and take public transport in – especially on the Friday, when another event at Qudos Bank Arena is expected to bring in an additional ten thousand people on top of Acca Dacca’s 70,000. If you do need to drive in, pre-booking parking online is a must – there’s a $35 event flat rate parking fee.

Those taking Uber, taxi, or other ride share options should keep in mind that due to high demand, the wait to get out of Accor Stadium and into a car may be a long one. Taxi ranks are located on Herb Elliott Avenue The traffic leaving and arriving is also bound to be pretty horrific, so plan to arrive early and expect delays on the way out – the same goes for any means of getting in, as getting into the stadium will likely take some time due to the sheer amount of attendees.

Transport NSW has also issued an update on trains and trams for those taking public transport. Travel on all modes of public transport is included in your concert ticket. You can plan your journey and see a full guide to getting there and back here. Express and limited-stop trains will run frequently to Olympic Park, with frequent return services after the show. From Olympic Park station, the stadium is a 10-minute walk away.

Sydney Olympic Park Major Event Buses will also run on all nine routes from 3.42pm until 7.03pm, depending on the route. Meanwhile, return buses will run frequently after the show, with the last buses leaving at midnight.

AC/DC Merch: Where to buy

Following the route of Metallica and Oasis, AC/DC has an official merch pop-up store open from 20 November until Tuesday 25 November. It’s located at Mothership, 18-22 Sydney St, Marrickville NSW 2204. According to the official AC/DC tour site, it’ll be host to “legendary tour props” like the tour cannon and Hells Bell, and have exclusive merch including limited-edition vinyl “you won’t find anywhere else.”

Here’s the opening hours over the week:

  • Nov 20, 22, 23, 24: 12 PM – 10 PM
  • Nov 21 & 25 (AC/DC Showdays): 11 AM – 5 PM

There’ll of course be merch available at Accor Stadium for those wanting to grab something on their way in to one of the shows, but it’ll likely be snapped up quick with some pretty hectic lines – so if you don’t want to miss out on a good spot or miss any of the show, it might be worth ducking down to Marrickville. Don’t worry if you’re not in Sydney, either – there will be pop-ups in each city, coinciding with AC/DC’s Aussie tour dates.
