A fan has died of a heart attack during Battle Beast’s Bratislava concert, prompting the show to stop.

A night of high-energy power metal in Bratislava ended in tragedy when a concertgoer suffered a fatal heart attack during Battle Beast’s performance on December 1 at Majestic Music Club in Slovakia. The band halted their set as emergency medical staff rushed to help, but the attendee could not be saved.

Battle Beast later addressed the incident in a statement shared online, explaining why the show ended so abruptly. “Yesterday in Bratislava, we were forced to stop the show due to a severe medical emergency in the audience, which tragically resulted in a person’s death,” they wrote. The group added appreciation for everyone who stepped up in a moment of crisis. “We want to thank the local crew and promoter for responding to the situation with professionalism and care.”

They also recognized how fans handled the distressing situation. “To everyone who was present, thank you for your patience, respect, and understanding during such a shocking and difficult moment. We share in the grief and heaviness that many of you are feeling.” Battle Beast closed their statement with condolences: “Our deepest condolences go out to the family and loved ones of the person who passed away.”

Before the incident, two other bands had performed: special guests Dominum and openers Majestica. Both acts posted messages reflecting on the night and the collective response from the crowd.

Dominum wrote: “Shortly after, during Battle Beast’s set, one person suffered a heart attack. Tragically, the person did not make it, and our thoughts are with the family.” They continued by thanking the audience for their reaction: “Thank you, from the bottom of our hearts, for staying calm, for reacting so quickly, and for trying to help without a second thought.”

Majestica also offered sympathy while praising everyone who tried to assist. “Just a few of songs into the Battle Beast set, one person suffered a heart attack and sadly didn’t make it. Our thoughts are with the family. Thank you for being so patient, staying calm and reacting so quickly to try and help.”

The show was one stop on Battle Beast’s European tour, which launched October 17 and includes the band’s largest German headline date so far at Hamburg’s Inselpark Arena. The tour is scheduled to continue through mid-December.
