Poppy has shared her new single ‘Guardian’, taken from her upcoming album Empty Hands, releasing January 23, 2026.
Poppy fans continue to eat good, as the singer has released yet another single to close out the year.
Titled ‘Guardian’, this marks the third single Poppy has shared from her upcoming album, Empty Hands, releasing January 23rd, 2026, via Sumerian Records.
Truthfully, the track is what you might expect from the pop-turned-metalcore singer. It’s got your Djent-inspired thumpy riffs, a soaring chorus and pristine production. If you’ve been enjoying her recent collaborations with ex-Bring Me The Horizon member Jordan Fish, you’ll probably continue to enjoy this.
You can listen to the song and watch the official visualiser below:
Empty Hands marks the second full-length album Poppy has made in collaboration with Jordan Fish, following her 2024 album Negative Spaces. She’d also work with Fish on the collaborative track ‘End of You’ featuring Evanescence’s Amy Lee and Spiritbox’s Courtney LaPlante.
‘Guardian’ would also be the first single from the album so far not to feature any of Poppy’s now iconic banshee-like screams. Which makes sense, given this song is definitely one for the yearners.
Speaking of yearning, if you’ve been dying to catch Poppy live again soon, you’re in luck. The ‘Suffocate’ singer has shared that she’ll be returning to Australia in January next year, right as her new album is released.
The signer is expected to start her tour on January 20 in Brisbane at Fortitude Music Hall, before making her way to Melbourne, Sydney, Adelaide and then concluding her tour at Fremantle’s Metropolis on January 26.
