The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim has received yet another re-release, this time for the brand-new Nintendo Switch 2, and features exclusive Legend of Zelda items to use in-game.
There are only three constants in life: death, taxes, and Skyrim receiving yet another re-release for a new console.
That’s right, developers Bethesda announced today that the beloved Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim is releasing on the all-new Nintendo Switch 2 today.
This version of the game includes all three official expansions, Dawnguard, Dragonborn, and Hearthfire. Players will also receive enhanced resolution, improved load times, performance optimisation, Joy-Con 2 mouse support, motion controls, Amiibo support and more to take advantage of the new platform’s hardware.
The Nintendo Switch 2 version will also have exclusive Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild content, including the Master Sword, Hylian Shield, and Link’s iconic Champion’s Tunic. So, this way you won’t have to waste time hunting them down on an ever-growing list of mods.
Speaking of mods, owners of the Anniversary Edition will gain access to hundreds of Creation Club items, including quests, weapons, armour, spells, dungeons, quality of life features, and whatever else you can really think of to enhance your Skyrim experience.
If you already owned The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Anniversary Edition on your original Nintendo Switch, you’ll be able to upgrade for free to the Nintendo Switch 2 version thanks to the hardware’s new Virtual Card feature. So worry not, Todd Howard isn’t asking you to buy Skyrim yet again.
Owners of the base edition of the game on the original Nintendo Switch can pay $30 AUD to upgrade to the Anniversary Edition of the game and gain access to all the mods and DLC on offer.
