A refrigerator from Glenn Danzig’s long-vacant Los Feliz home was left on the kerb for free, before being quickly claimed by a mystery collector.
Glenn Danzig’s Los Feliz house has spent years existing as a piece of Los Angeles rock folklore, and this week it added another unexpected footnote. On the morning of December 16, 2025, a refrigerator that once sat inside the longtime Danzig-owned property was placed on the kerb outside the house, free to a good home.
The house itself has been a point of fascination for years. Located in the relatively posh Los Feliz neighbourhood, the property stands out visually and has been written about extensively, in part because of its association with the Misfits and Danzig frontman. Danzig attempted to sell the home nearly a decade ago for more than a million dollars, but it has remained vacant for years.
The fridge’s appearance did not come with an official explanation. Instead, word spread after a Craigslist post appeared on Tuesday alerting locals that the appliance had been left outside and was free for the taking. The post read:
“On the curb, in front of Glenn Danzig’s abandoned house is the refrigerator that was inside.
It is covered with heavy metal and punk stickers.
It’s disgusting inside I opened it.
Some collector would love this.
It’s funny but it is not a joke.
Just go get this thing and throw it in your van or whatever.
Get it before the city truck gets it!”
Within a matter of hours, Danzig’s fridge was gone, and whoever claimed it did so quietly. According to the listing, the interior was gross enough to merit a warning, which has naturally sparked curiosity about how long it had been sitting unused. The Craigslist poster thankfully didn’t include a picture of the inside of the appliance, although now we’re wondering exactly how disgusting it was.
The exterior, however, was the real draw, reportedly plastered with stickers tied to Danzig’s bands, including the Misfits and Danzig, alongside a broader mix of other stickers.
The timing coincides with a mixed year for Danzig himself. In 2025, he reunited with the Misfits for a high-profile appearance at Coachella and also toured earlier in the year. That run was also marked by controversy after merchandise featuring a black sun symbol, associated with Nazi imagery, was spotted at shows.
As for the refrigerator, it’s now vanished into private hands. Whether it ends up cleaned, displayed, or tossed on another kerb is anyone’s guess.
