Phil Campbell Brings Motörhead Classics Back To Australia With The Bastard Sons Tour

Share

Motörhead’s 50th anniversary is being marked in the best way possible this March, with one of the band’s most important late era contributors bringing the catalogue back to the stage in Australia.

Phil Campbell & The Bastard Sons first ever Australian tour is almost here, with the band promising a set stacked with Motörhead classics in March.

Campbell spent more than three decades as Motörhead’s guitarist, helping shape the group’s sound across multiple eras, and playing a key role in keeping the band’s engine running right through to their final years.

His work can be heard across major tracks including ‘Orgasmatron’, ‘Overnight Sensation’, ‘Rock Out’, ‘Born To Raise Hell’ and ‘Eat The Rich’.

Since forming Phil Campbell & The Bastard Sons, Campbell has continued touring and recording with a lineup that includes his sons Todd, Tyla and Dane, building a band that keeps things direct and hard hitting, with a clear connection back to the Motörhead blueprint.

The group are now joined by new vocalist Julian Jenkins, and have built a strong reputation on the European festival circuit, they’ve performed at major events including Wacken, Hellfest and Graspop, and have also played European stadium shows supporting Guns N’ Roses.

Australian run

This Australian run will be the first chance local fans have had to see the band live in this country, with tickets moving quickly and limited VIP meet and greet packages available.

Support for the tour will come from Willie J’s 6v6s, who are described as blending high energy riffs, heavy rhythms and strong vocals to deliver an intense live show, the band’s visit landing as a timely nod to Motörhead’s long running influence and the players who helped carry that legacy forward.
