Randy Blythe Goes Nuclear On Trump And ICE In Furious New Statement

Share

If anyone still thinks Lamb Of God frontman Randy Blythe is the type to ‘stay in his lane’, they haven’t been paying attention for the last three decades.

Blythe has posted a blistering new Substack entry titled ‘All The Horrors Happening Around Us’, directly condemning the Trump administration, ICE, and what he frames as America’s accelerating slide into authoritarianism.

The post lands like a brick through a window, full of rage, and a very clear refusal to shut up for anyone (per Metal Sucks).

He opens by reflecting on a moment in Los Angeles early last year, shortly after Trump returned to the White House, where he found himself reckoning with “all the horrors happening around us.” From Trump’s convictions and economic promises, to international threats and corruption, Blythe writes as someone watching the country rot in real time.

A major turning point in the post is the killing of Minneapolis residents Renée Good and Alex Pretti, which Blythe describes alongside what he calls the “moral collapse of all three branches” of government.

“Like most of you… I am tired, y’all. So goddamned tired. The open moral collapse of all three branches our government is utterly exhausting…”

From there, Blythe spirals deeper into a furious breakdown of what he sees as a collapsing democracy, with some of his most graphic language reserved for the violence tied to ICE operations.

“It’s not just the fact that masked men now roam our streets, Gestapo-like, terrorizing the populace, openly killing two American citizens, shooting them in the face in broad daylight as their fellow citizens film these executions, then post videos of the killings to the internet, videos I cannot stop watching again and again.”

Don’t look away

Blythe urges Americans not to look away, writing:

“If you are a citizen of the United States and have not watched these videos, do so. Do not turn away. Do not ignore this…”

Blythe also calls on artists to speak up, regardless of backlash.

“Swallow your fear, and speak truth to power— this is what we were put here to do. So raise your voices now, motherfuckers— NOW.”

For anyone whining ‘keep politics out of metal’, Blythe has a message that’s basically been his entire career in one sentence: “Fuck the fascists. Do not comply.”
