Share

Hellions are pulling one of Australian heavy music’s most important records back into the spotlight.

The Sydney outfit has announced a 10 Year Anniversary tour for Opera Oblivia, celebrating a decade since the album that reshaped their career and rewrote the rules for local post-hardcore.

Released in 2016, Opera Oblivia wasn’t just a breakthrough, the album debuted at #4 on the ARIA Charts, picked up an ARIA Award nomination, and quickly earned a reputation as one of the most ambitious heavy records of its era.

Tracks like ‘Quality of Life’ and ‘Thresher’ delivered massive hooks without sacrificing bite, while the album’s sweeping movements and dramatic pacing pushed Australian heavy music into more cinematic territory, it’s the release that cemented Hellions as a band willing to take risks and wear their intensity openly.
