Steven Spielberg’s Disclosure Day Gets Another Enigmatic Teaser

Share

Steven Spielberg’s Disclosure Day keeps its cards close to its vest with a brief Super Bowl Spot.

As Disclosure Day, Steven Spielberg‘s latest and purportedly most mind-shattering science fiction epic thus far, draws nearer, it’s going to be fun watching the trailers and other marketing material try to entice our interest without giving the game away – always a problem when your film seems to be built around one really big secret, and that secret getting out of the bag in a catlike fashion may ruin the viewing experience of all and sundry. It does seem to be aliens, though. Or, at the very least, it’s using the iconography of alien encounters, which isn’t quite the same thing. Anyway, take a look:

What’s the plot?

All we have is this incredibly brief and foreboding tagline:

If you found out we weren’t alone, if someone showed you, proved it to you, would that frighten you? This summer, the truth belongs to seven billion people. We are coming close to … Disclosure Day.

Who’s in it?

Don’t expect too many character details at this point – even Emily Blunt is simply “a weatherwoman” right now, but:

  • Emily Blunt.
  • Josh O’Connor.
  • Colin Firth.
  • Eve Hewson.
  • Colman Domingo.
  • Wyatt Russell.
  • Elizabeth Marvel.
  • Henry Lloyd-Hughes.
  • Michael Gaston.
  • Mckenna Bridger.
  • Elliot Villar.
  • Tommy Martinez.
  • Patricia Conolly as Ruth
  • Noah Robbins.
  • Chavo Guerrero Jr.
  • Lance Archer.
  • Brian Cage.
  • Gabby Beans.

When’s it out?

Disclosure Day is getting a US release on June 12, 2026. We’ll probably get it around the same time, but no official local release date has been set.

What’s the vibe?

While a new Steven Spielberg film isn’t the massive event it used to be, a new Steven Spielberg science fiction film ought to have you sitting up in your seat a little. Might be time to start dropping a few more story details, though.
