Black Veil Brides Return With ‘Vindicate’ And New Single

Share

Black Veil Brides are stepping back into the spotlight with ‘Vindicate’, their seventh studio album, set for release on May 8th via Spinefarm.

Alongside the announcement, Black Veil Brides have dropped the album’s title track, giving fans a first real look at what this next chapter sounds like and it’s far from subtle. The track opens with a warped, carnival like calliope before detonating into a wall of guitars and Andy Biersack’s unmistakable snarl.

It’s theatrical, heavy and it leans fully into the band’s long running obsession with darkness and defiance.

A record built on revenge and resilience

If ‘The Phantom Tomorrow’ was expansive, ‘Vindicate’ feels more personal, Biersack frames the album around a core tension that’s been running through the band since day one.

“This record is rooted in the feelings of revenge and vindication. These are emotions that can either push us forward or hold us back. There’s a duality to them. They can fuel growth, drive ambition, and help us rise above what’s tried to break us, but they can also become destructive if we let them consume us,” he explains (via press release).

That push and pull runs through the entire record:

“It’s for anyone who’s ever had their dreams doubted or their fire challenged by people who couldn’t see their vision. We’re all born with that spark. The world will try to take that away at times, but this record is about holding onto it, fighting back, and turning those struggles into something powerful.”

Leaning into the drama

Black Veil Brides have never done things quietly, and ‘Vindicate’ doubles down on that identity, from the opening ‘Invocation To The Muse’ to the closing ‘Eschaton’, this is positioned as one of their most ambitious releases to date.

Previously released tracks like ‘Bleeders’, ‘Hallelujah’, and ‘Certainty’ hinted at evolution, but the title track suggests they’re sharpening their edge rather than sanding it down.

Fifteen years in, they’re still chasing scale, still chasing impact, whether that lands as growth or just more of the same will come down to how far they push beyond the aesthetic they helped define.
