Soccer star Jorginho called out Chappell Roan on social media today, claiming the ‘HOT TO GO!’ artist sent her security team after his 11-year-old daughter, accusing her of harassment.

Soccer star Jorginho has hit out against pop star Chappell Roan, claiming the artist sent her security team after his daughter, who had walked across the artist’s table and recognised her.

The Flamingo’s player would share a lengthy statement on his Instagram Story earlier today (March 22), calling out the ‘HOT TO GO!’ singer.

“I went through a very upsetting situation with my family earlier today. My wife [Catherine Harding], is in São Paulo for Lollapalooza Brasil. This morning, my daughter woke up incredibly excited. She even made a sign because she was so happy to see an artist she really admires, or used to admire,” Jorginho wrote on social media, referring to Roan, who is expected to perform at the music festival in São Paulo today.

“By coincidence, they’re staying at the same hotel as this artist. During breakfast, the artist walked past their table. My daughter, like any child, recognised her, got excited, and just wanted to make sure it was really her,” Jorginho shared.

“And the worst part is she didn’t even approach her,” he continued. “She simply walked past the singer’s table, looked to confirm it was her, smiled, and went back to sit with her mum. She didn’t say anything, didn’t ask for anything.”

Jorginho would then allege that after his daughter walked by Roan’s table, “a large security guard came over to their table while they were still having breakfast and began speaking in an extremely aggressive manner to both my wife and my daughter, saying that she shouldn’t allow my daughter to ‘disrespect’ or ‘harass’ other people.”

“Honestly, I don’t know at what point simply walking past a table and looking to see if someone is there can be considered harassment,” the soccer pro continued, alleging that the security guard “even said he would file a complaint against them with the hotel, while my 11-year-old daughter was sitting there in tears.”

“My daughter was extremely shaken and cried a lot,” he added.

Jorginho would go on to say that while he understands the struggles of being in the spotlight, he condemns how Roan’s security team enforced her boundaries.

“I’ve lived with football, public exposure, and well-known people for many years, and I understand very well what respect and boundaries are. What happened there was not that. It was just a child admiring someone,” he wrote of his daughter.

“It’s sad to see this kind of treatment coming from those who should understand the importance of fans. At the end of the day, they are the ones who build all of this,” the athlete continued. “I sincerely hope this serves as a moment of reflection. No one should have to go through this, especially not a child.”

Jorginho would then end his post by tagging Roan and writing: “WITHOUT YOUR FANS, YOU WOULD BE NOTHING. AND TO THE FANS, SHE DOES NOT DESERVE YOUR AFFECTION.”

Roan has long advocated for setting boundaries between herself and her fans and has had multiple incidents in which she has called out photographers. Last month, the singer would call out a group of paparazzi and fans who had camped out at a restaurant she was dining at, claiming they were “harassing her”.

Roan has not issued a statement about the incident yet.
