Evanescence has shared a teaser on social media, hinting that new music could be released on April 10.
Evanescence has broken their social media silence, sharing a teaser on social media (April 4) for what appears to be a new song.
The teaser was posted without any caption, but frontwoman Amy Lee’s voice can be heard singing the refrain, “Who will you follow?” over an atmospheric and lush synth accompaniment. The clip ends revealing the track’s supposed name, ‘Who Will You Follow?’ (shocker!) and the date April 10, which seems likely to be the new single’s release date.

Evanescence has long been teasing their eventual sixth album for a while now, but the hype picked up momentum in December last year after Lee made an appearance on KROQ. In her interview, the singer confirmed that their next album would be arriving sometime in 2026, and that she was in the process of finalising lyrics for the project.
It’s been almost five years since Evanesence released their previous album, The Bitter Truth. To keep fans busy Inbetween releases, the band and Amy Lee have been busy releasing a variety of singles.
In 2025, the band released the track ‘Afterlife’ for the Devil May Cry Netflix series, and would go on to perform it at that year’s Game Awards ceremony. Lee would also confirm that the band were involved in writing a new single for the show’s second season.
Amy Lee would also release a single with Poppy and Spiritbox’s Courtney LaPlante, dubbed ‘End of You, which has gone on to break several chart records for female artists since its release.
Evanescence is also expected to appear at both Sick New World dates, with the Las Vegas show happening on April 25. With the tease of new music, the ‘Bring Me to Life’ group may be gearing up to share some new tracks in the setlist to tide us over until the new album.
