A Woman Has Been Charged After Allegedly Stalking Ghost Frontman Tobias Forge

A woman has reportedly been charged with stalking Ghost mastermind Tobias Forge, after she had allegedly sent the singer a cell phone and multiple requests for money.

Tobias Forge, the frontman for the elusive rock group Ghost, has reportedly pressed charges against a woman in her 40s for allegedly stalking the singer. She was also charged with unlawful stalking, sexual assault and multiple counts of assault against two other individuals.

The report would come from the Swedish outlet Aftonbladet, which reported that the singer began receiving messages from the woman via WhatsApp last year. Forge would block the woman, who would begin to send mail to the singer, one of which included a cell phone, which he believed had been tampered with.

“I didn’t want to keep it in my home, so I left it on the balcony before handing it in to the police. I’m pretty used to people trying to contact me, but over the years I’ve had about ten stalkers,” Forge reportedly said (per Google Chrome translation of the publication’s interview).

“However, no one has done anything as invasive and, quite frankly, threatening as sending a mobile phone. It wouldn’t have been good if, for example, I’d been living at a secret address. That phone was the last straw for me.”

The contact in question took place between July and October last year, where the woman also sent multiple requests of 5000 SEK ($764.95 AUD). Forge maintains that he has had no prior relationship with the woman, although the woman reportedly told authorities that they first met 16 years ago, have been in contact daily, and were married in September.

Forge is reportedly not seeking compensation from the woman in question, stating, “I don’t want to make her life worse. I just want her to leave me alone and not hurt anyone else.”
