The Big Rock Tour rolled into Melbourne last night, and Rod Laver Arena didn’t stand a chance.
Papa Roach, A Day To Remember and LANDMVRKS delivered a stacked bill that had it all, sing alongs, catharsis and straight up spectacle, proving this tour isn’t just nostalgia, it’s still got teeth.

LANDMVRKS set the tone early
LANDMVRKS wasted no time ripping into the crowd with ‘Creature’ and ‘Sulfur’, setting a relentless pace that didn’t let up, tracks like ‘Lost in a Wave’ and ‘Self-Made Black Hole’ hit hard, with the pit opening early and staying that way.
There’s a precision to their set, but it still feels volatile, like it could tip over at any second.

- La valse du temps
- Lost in a Wave
- Rainfall
- Blood Red
- Self-Made Black Hole
Papa Roach bring heart and heaviness
Papa Roach’s set walked a tightrope between aggression and something more human, ‘Leave a Light On (Talk Away the Dark)’ landed with weight, followed by a moment of silence for suicide victims that cut through the noise.
Shaddix made it clear this wasn’t just another stop on the tour, urging the crowd to check in on each other, reminding everyone that sometimes just listening is enough.
Then they flipped the switch. ‘Scars’ hit like a reset point, with Shaddix admitting the track saved the band. ‘Help’ followed, with the crowd taking over vocals and throwing that energy straight back.
The medley sealed it, smashing through ‘Blind’, ‘My Own Summer (Shove It)’, ‘Break Stuff’ and ‘Chop Suey’ like a love letter to nu metal.

A Day To Remember turn it into a circus
A Day To Remember didn’t just play a set, they built a playground, at one point around 40 punters flooded the stage. Basketball hoops popped up stage left and right, with a full blown shootout mid set during ‘LeBron’.
Massive inflatable balls bounced across the arena while the band tore through ‘The Downfall of Us All’, ‘All I Want’ and ‘All Signs Point to Lauderdale’, it was messy, loud and exactly what you’d want.
Still evolving, not just surviving
Off the back of our recent chat with Jacoby Shaddix, this all tracks. Papa Roach aren’t coasting on ‘Infest’, they’re still pushing forward, backing it up with real-world impact through their mental health work and a live show that still feels urgent.
Melbourne got the full picture, Sydney, Brisbane and Auckland are up next.
