Korn, Papa Roach And Evanescence Stack ‘Devil May Cry’ Season 2 Soundtrack

Share

Netflix is doubling down on distortion for ‘Devil May Cry’ Season 2, locking in a soundtrack that reads like a warped love letter to nü-metal’s peak era.

Korn, Papa Roach, Evanescence and Drowning Pool all make the cut, alongside a handful of left field additions and reworked classics, the 12 track lineup drops just ahead of the new season’s premiere on May 12th, with Papa Roach leading the charge through a new collaboration with Hanumankind.

A soundtrack built on fun nostalgia

Opening the tracklist is Papa Roach’s ‘See U in Hell’ (feat. Hanumankind), a fresh cut set to land later this week, from there the soundtrack leans heavily into early 2000s staples, but not without twisting them into something darker (per The PRP).

Several tracks have been reworked by Power Glove, who return after contributing to the first season, their remixes reshape familiar hits like Korn’s ‘Freak On A Leash’ and Papa Roach’s ‘Getting Away With Murder’, injecting them with a more cinematic, synth-heavy edge.

Evanescence also re-enter the fold. ‘My Immortal’ (Band Version) lands alongside a separate Amy Lee feature, ‘Meet Me in the Afterlife’ (Power Glove Remix), continuing the band’s connection to the series after Season one.

Leaning into the tone

If Season one set the blueprint, this follow-up sharpens it, the mix of original cuts, legacy tracks, and reimagined versions suggests Netflix isn’t just chasing nostalgia, it’s actively reshaping it to fit the show’s hyper violent, neon soaked world.

There’s a deliberate tension here, old school aggression meets modern production, with Power Glove acting as the bridge between eras, whether it lands as fan service or something more ambitious will come down to how it’s used on screen, either way it’s loud, chaotic, and it knows exactly what it’s tapping into.
