Lamb Of God And Trivium Are Officially Bringing Their Metal Juggernaut Co-Headline Tour To Australia

Share

After yesterday’s cryptic teaser lit up the Australian metal scene, the rumours have officially become reality.

Lamb Of God and Trivium are returning to Australia together for a massive co-headline tour this October, with Scotland’s Bleed From Within joining the carnage as special guests.

The run marks Lamb Of God’s first full Australian tour in close to a decade, outside of their Knotfest appearances, and it’s shaping up to be one of the heaviest arena packages Australia’s seen in years.

Two generations collide

For longtime metal fans, this lineup feels less like a random pairing and more like two generations of modern heavy music colliding in real time, Lamb Of God helped define the New Wave Of American Heavy Metal movement through the 2000s with records like ‘Ashes Of The Wake’ and ‘Sacrament’, while Trivium carved their own lane by smashing together metalcore, thrash and massive melodic hooks into festival sized anthems.

Lamb Of God are currently riding the momentum of their latest album ‘Into Oblivion’, released earlier this year, while Trivium continue to operate like one of metal’s hardest working live bands, still sounding razor-sharp more than two decades into their career.

Then there’s Bleed From Within, who’ve quietly become one of the most reliable heavy acts on the planet, their latest album ‘Zenith’ pushed their sound even further into towering groove-metal territory, and anyone who caught them supporting Slipknot or Bullet For My Valentine already knows they don’t show up to simply warm up the stage.

With Knotfest proving Australia’s appetite for heavy music is still thriving, this tour feels like another massive win for local metalheads.
