Punk rock fans in Australia and New Zealand are about to get a double dose of fun this year.

Chicago punk heavyweights Rise Against have officially announced their long awaited return to Australia and New Zealand, and they’re bringing Boston Celtic punk legends Dropkick Murphys along for the ride.

The massive tour, produced by Live Nation, kicks off in New Zealand this November before hitting Australian cities across late November and early December, including Melbourne, Brisbane, Sydney, Perth and a special appearance at Gosford’s Meltdown festival alongside Aussie icons The Living End and Jebediah.

Mastercard holders will gain early access to presale tickets from Wednesday, May 27th.

Live Nation presale begins Thursday, May 28th.

General public tickets officially go on sale Friday, May 29th at 1pm local time.

For Australian fans, the run marks Rise Against’s first local headline tour in years and arrives alongside continued momentum surrounding their latest album Ricochet, which the band describes as one of their most urgent and politically charged releases to date.

Meanwhile, Dropkick Murphys continue to prove why they remain one of punk’s most enduring live acts, with their explosive mix of working class anthems, Celtic punk energy and anti-establishment spirit still drawing massive crowds nearly three decades into their career.

The pairing feels tailor made for Australian audiences, two bands built on sweat, rebellion and massive singalongs sharing stages around the country, tickets are expected to move quickly, particularly for Sydney’s Opera House Forecourt performance and the outdoor Perth and Brisbane dates, so be sure to pick yours up quickly.
