Armored Saint Release New ‘Every Man-Any Man’ Video As Emotion Factory Reset Arrives

Share

Heavy metal veterans Armored Saint are keeping the momentum rolling behind their newly released album Emotion Factory Reset, unveiling a brand new music video for the track “Every Man-Any Man”.

Directed by Robert Graves, the clip shines a spotlight on one of the album’s standout tracks, a song that showcases the band’s ability to blend classic metal power with groove driven songwriting that has become a signature part of their sound.

Speaking about the track, vocalist John Bush explained that the song’s title originated from the phrase “Any man has his price”, although the band ultimately opted for a less obvious approach (per press release).

“‘Any man has his price’ is a more familiar phrase and that’s the theme, but we didn’t want to call it that,” Bush said.

Unique Chemistry

The singer also highlighted the unique chemistry between bassist Joey Vera and drummer Gonzo Sandoval, crediting their rhythm section interplay as a defining element of Armored Saint‘s identity.

“When those two guys are locked in, it’s pretty awesome, because it’s like they could be playing in the Commodores.”

Bush noted that the song’s opening guitar work carries an unexpected influence from The Police, while Vera’s bass groove helps push the track beyond traditional heavy metal territory.

Vera revealed that the song was partially inspired by songwriting techniques used by The Police, particularly the idea of building different vocal melodies over the same musical foundation.

“I liked the idea of having the verse, music, and chorus be the same music parts, but with different vocal parts.”

The bassist also pointed to additional influences woven into the song’s DNA, including nods to Foo Fighters and Thin Lizzy, before culminating in what he described as a crushing Armored Saint riff.

“Every Man-Any Man” is one of eleven tracks featured on Emotion Factory Reset, the band’s ninth studio album and a record that sees the long running metal outfit balancing familiar strengths with a renewed creative approach.

Produced by Vera and mixed by veteran producer Jay Ruston, the album continues a working relationship that has spanned Armored Saint’s last four releases, the record was tracked across multiple studios and features artwork created by DDKing.
