Fit For A King aren’t wasting any time following last year’s Lonely God.
Texas metalcore heavyweights Fit For A King have returned with a brand new standalone single, “Blood Pact”, delivering the kind of crushing aggression and sharp social commentary that has become a trademark of the band over the past decade.
The track arrives as the first new music from the five piece since releasing their eighth studio album and sees the band leaning heavily into their heavier instincts.

Relevant themes
According to vocalist Ryan Kirby, the song’s themes have only become more relevant since it was written:
“Blood Pact is a song that, unfortunately, has become more relevant as time goes on,” explains Kirby. “It’s about how the decisions of people in power affect the rest of us. And how as a human race, we face the reality of destruction, even when it’s not the majority making the decision.”

The release continues a remarkable run for the band, who have steadily grown into one of modern metalcore’s most reliable and successful acts, since emerging in 2011, Fit For A King have amassed nearly half a billion streams, built a dedicated global fanbase and consistently evolved their sound without abandoning the heaviness that first put them on the map.
While “Blood Pact” stands alone for now, it also signals that the band has no plans of slowing down following Lonely God, the group will spend the remainder of 2026 on the road, including a major North American run with Motionless In White before heading to Latin America later in the year.
