Bone Thugs-N-Harmony have officially cemented their place in music history, receiving a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame during a ceremony in Los Angeles on Wednesday, July 8th.
All five members of the pioneering Cleveland hip-hop group Bone Thugs-N-Harmony, Krayzie Bone, Layzie Bone, Bizzy Bone, Wish Bone and Flesh-n-Bone, were present to celebrate the milestone, joined by friends, collaborators and fellow rap icons including Fat Joe, Ice-T and radio personality Big Boy (per Billboard).

Overwhelming fan turn out
The ceremony drew a significant crowd, with Fat Joe pointing to the overwhelming fan turnout as proof of the group’s lasting influence.
“They say I exaggerate,” Joe joked. “But what if I told you, I’ve been to 10 of these and I’ve never seen people out in the street like they are for Bone Thugs-N-Harmony right now.”
He also reflected on the support the group showed him early in his own career:
“I owe a great deal to Bone Thugs-N-Harmony. These guys went and they was the Michael Jacksons. They went and sold like 30 million records; I sold like two copies. They never acted funny with me.”
Ice-T praised Bone Thugs-N-Harmony for bringing a completely original sound to hip-hop during an era where originality mattered above everything else:
“Our era of hip-hop, Fat Joe, you had to be original. You couldn’t sound like anybody else. When Bone Thugs hit the scene, they were like nothing we had ever heard,” Ice-T said. “When you see five cats that can all rap that good similarly, I’m like, ‘Where did these n—as come from? Cleveland.'”
Each member also took to the podium to thank family, supporters and one another, with Layzie Bone reflecting on the journey the group has shared:
“All I ever wanted to see was my homeboys successful, man. All I ever wanted in life was for us to prosper… Thank y’all for coming out, thank y’all for supporting us. Bone Thugs-N-Harmony, we are brothers.”
Since emerging through Eazy-E’s Ruthless Records in the early 1990s, Bone Thugs-N-Harmony have become one of hip-hop’s most influential groups.
Their signature fusion of rapid fire lyricism and melodic harmonies helped redefine the genre, while albums including E. 1999 Eternal and The Art of War remain landmarks of rap history.
More than 30 years after first breaking through, their Hollywood Walk of Fame star stands as recognition of a legacy that continues to inspire generations of artists.
