Sunbleached Share Dreamy New Single “Maybe I’ll Come Around” Ahead Of Debut Album

Brisbane alt-rockers Sunbleached are gearing up for a huge few months, dropping their dreamy new single “Maybe I’ll Come Around” today, ahead of their debut album Stop Destroying The Things You Love.

Due out Friday, September 18th via Community Music, the album marks another step forward for the five piece, who have spent the past few years carving out their own space in Australia’s alternative rock scene.

“Maybe I’ll Come Around” takes a more introspective route, unpacking the frustrating cycle of chasing affection from someone who never quite gives enough back. The track captures that familiar push-and-pull between recognising a relationship is unhealthy and still finding yourself drawn back in.

“You know it’s a bad idea, but the little bits of attention keep pulling you back in,” says vocalist Josh Baker. “The whole thing is messed up and you recognise the pattern, but you ignore it anyway.”

The new release follows previous singles “Pain Chamber” and “Slow Burn”, while earlier tracks “Rip” and “Stain” helped bridge the gap between Sunbleached’s 2024 EP I Crawled Into The Hole and the band’s forthcoming debut full-length.

Produced by Fletcher Matthews, known for his work with Trophy Eyes, Dear Seattle and Secret World, Stop Destroying The Things You Love sees Sunbleached leaning further into their blend of expansive alternative rock, emo influences and emotionally charged songwriting.

The album also arrives as the band prepares to hit the road with California emo favourites Seahaven for their East Coast Australian tour next month.

Since forming in 2020, Sunbleached have performed at BIGSOUND and New Bloom Festival and shared stages with Citizen, Movements, Holding Absence, Fleshwater, Touché Amoré, Boston Manor and Highly Suspect.
