Blink-182’s ‘First Date’ Alter Egos Are Getting Their Own Collectible Figures

Twenty five years after Take Off Your Pants and Jacket landed, one of Blink-182’s most memorable eras is being turned into a new set of limited-edition collectibles.

Encore! Toy Co., a subsidiary of Rockabilia.com, has unveiled officially licensed seven inch vinyl figures of Mark Hoppus, Tom DeLonge and Travis Barker, modelled on the trio’s alter egos from the ‘First Date’ music video.

That means Hoppus’ moustachioed Mr. Clean-inspired look, DeLonge’s gloriously committed retro get up and Barker’s checkerboard-heavy style are all being immortalised in toy form.

The figures arrive as Blink-182 continue celebrating the 25th anniversary of Take Off Your Pants and Jacket. Originally released in 2001, the record delivered some of the band’s defining songs, including ‘The Rock Show’, ‘Stay Together for the Kids’ and, naturally, ‘First Date’.

Encore! Toy Co. co-owner Frankie Blydenburgh said the project carried particular significance after growing up with the band.

“Blink-182 has been a huge part of my life since I discovered them in ’97, and they were really the catalyst for me getting into punk rock. To now be nearly 30 years into that journey and working alongside the entire Blink team to bring an officially licensed project like this to life is pretty unbelievable. The fact that everyone on their side is just as excited as we are to see these figures roll out makes the whole thing even more rewarding. Take Off Your Pants and Jacket was such a defining record for so many fans, and getting to celebrate its 25th anniversary this way is something I’m incredibly proud to be a part of.”

The figures form another part of a busy anniversary year for Take Off Your Pants and Jacket. Blink-182 have also revisited the album with a 25th anniversary edition featuring its six bonus tracks together on the same release for the first time.

Packaging artwork for the figures was created by Jeremiah Purinton, while the sculpts were crafted by alarconos.

Pre-orders opened September 24th exclusively through Encore! Toy Co., with the figures expected to begin shipping in February 2027.
