All Elite Wrestling star Benjamin Satterley, better known to wrestling fans as PAC, has passed aged 40.
AEW confirmed Satterley’s death on Sunday, September 27th, writing: “All Elite Wrestling is saddened to announce the passing of Benjamin Satterley, aka Pac.” (per USA Today)
No cause of death has been announced.
Satterley had wrestled less than 24 hours earlier at AEW’s All Out pay-per-view, challenging Andrade El Ídolo for the AEW National Championship. Andrade retained the title in what would become PAC’s final match.
Over 20 years in the ring
Born in Newcastle upon Tyne, Satterley began wrestling in 2004 and spent the next two decades building a career across the UK, Japan and the United States.
He became known to a wider audience during his WWE run, first as Adrian Neville and later simply Neville. There, he held the NXT Championship, NXT Tag Team Championship and WWE Cruiserweight Championship twice.
His move to AEW came in 2019, during the promotion’s first year.
PAC quickly became one of the company’s most recognisable wrestlers, mixing a hard edged character with the explosive aerial style that had followed him throughout his career.
He became the inaugural AEW All-Atlantic Champion in 2022 before the title was later renamed the International Championship. PAC was also a two-time AEW World Trios Champion, first as part of Death Triangle alongside Penta El Zero Miedo and Rey Fenix, and later with Claudio Castagnoli and Wheeler Yuta.
In recent years he had been aligned with the Death Riders alongside Jon Moxley, Castagnoli and Yuta.
Only days before All Out, PAC defeated Ace Austin in the main event of AEW’s September 23rd broadcast.
Across more than 20 years in wrestling, Satterley built a reputation around a combination of speed, power and aerial offence that made him stand out across very different promotions and eras.
AEW offered its condolences to Satterley’s family, friends and fans in confirming his death.
He was 40, rest easy PAC.
