Kid Rock has announced a new faith-based album, Halfway 2 Jesus, with Eminem among the guests on its 17-song tracklist.
The Detroit pair reunite on “7 Sins”, decades after Eminem appeared on “F** Off” from Kid Rock’s 1998 breakthrough album Devil Without a Cause. Kid Rock later appeared in the video for Eminem’s 2013 single “Berzerk”.
Halfway 2 Jesus is due October 17th, with new single “James 1:17 (Jesus Is King)” offering the clearest introduction yet to the album’s Christian focus.
Kid Rock has dedicated the accompanying video to longtime Twisted Brown Trucker keyboardist Jimmie Bones, who is living with ALS, and Kalvin Lynch, a fan with an inoperable brain tumour whose Make-A-Wish was to play drums with him.

A different direction
The album marks a clear shift in subject matter. Titles including “Water Into Wine”, “Me and Jesus” and “God Is Good” put faith front and centre across a record that follows 2022’s Bad Reputation.
Eminem isn’t the only guest attached to the project. Rascal Flatts vocalist Gary LeVox and country artist Jimmie Allen appear on the title track, “Halfway 2 Jesus”.
The record also includes Kid Rock’s version of “‘Til You Can’t”, while “God Bless the USA” closes the 17-track set.
Kid Rock has increasingly spoken about bringing his Christian faith into his music, and Halfway 2 Jesus appears to be the fullest expression of that direction so far.
Halfway 2 Jesus arrives October 17th. “James 1:17 (Jesus Is King)” is out now.
