The Florida death metal veterans will play Froth & Fury and four headline shows in January and February 2027, returning for the first time since 2006.
Deicide have announced four Australian headline shows for 2027 alongside their Froth & Fury appearance, bringing the death metal veterans back to the country after more than two decades away.
The run begins at Adelaide’s Froth & Fury on January 30, followed by Melbourne’s Northcote Theatre on January 31. Brisbane’s The Brightside, Canberra’s The Baso and Sydney’s Manning Bar follow in February.
Promoter Your Mate Bookings confirms the visit will be Deicide’s first since 2006. An Australian tour was originally scheduled for April 2009, but then-promoter Soundworks Touring postponed it until October, citing conflicting recording schedules. Much to fans’ disappointment, the rescheduled dates were ultimately cancelled that June, with Glen Benton saying the band would be recording during the proposed touring period.
BLUNT previously covered Deicide’s addition to Froth & Fury’s second announcement, alongside Knocked Loose, Terror, Cancer Bats and Heriot. These four headline dates extend the visit beyond the Adelaide festival.
Emerging from Tampa’s death metal scene, Deicide released their self-titled debut in 1990 and followed it with Legion in 1992. More than three decades after those records, Australian fans will finally have another chance to catch the band on local stages.
