Knocked Loose To Headline Froth & Fury Fest 2027 As Huge Second Wave Drops

Froth & Fury Fest already had Clutch, Alpha Wolf and Paleface Swiss locked in for 2027. Now it has Knocked Loose sitting at the top of the bill.

The Kentucky band will headline the Adelaide festival when it returns to the Adelaide Showground on Saturday, January 30th, leading a second lineup announcement that adds another 11 acts.

Deicide, Terror, Cancer Bats and Heriot are among the international additions, while Bay Area thrash veterans Death Angel will perform a special set built around their 1990 album Act III.

Closer to home, the new wave brings in Adelaide straight-edge hardcore band Stressed, Newcastle’s Feel The Pain, Sydney punks Arse, Guantanamo Bay City Rollers and Oath Of Damnation.

It follows Froth & Fury’s first announcement in July, which was headed by Clutch alongside Alpha Wolf, Paleface Swiss, Carpenter Brut, Igorrr, Propagandhi, Counterparts, Corrosion Of Conformity, Death To All and Dark Angel.

One name has dropped off that original bill, however. The festival has confirmed that Wayside have cancelled their appearance and will no longer perform at Froth & Fury 2027.

For co-organiser Jason North, bringing Knocked Loose to the top of the poster represents another sizeable jump for the Adelaide event.

“Having Knocked Loose headline is obviously massive for us. They’re one of the biggest and most exciting heavy bands in the world right now, so to have them sitting at the top of a Froth & Fury lineup is pretty special for us.”

The addition also gives Froth & Fury a very different kind of headliner to Clutch, while widening a bill that already moves between hardcore, death metal, thrash, punk, experimental heavy music and electronic acts.

And it still isn’t finished.

Froth & Fury announced its 2027 lineup would arrive across three waves, meaning another round of artists remains to be revealed before January.
